Public, private and free data

The experimental data on OCHEM has three access levels:

  • Private data is visible only to the user who introduced it
  • Public data is visible to all OCHEM users
  • Free data is visible and freely downloadable by all OCHEM users

The difference between public and free data is die to the fact, that OCHEM limits the export of sensitive information (in particular, molecular structures) for non-free data. Different categories of users can have individual limits for exporting non-free data.

Approved data

The data published by users (public and free data as described above) can be tagged as "approved" by OCHEM moderators.

By default, users see only the approved data published by other users. However, there is an option to show all public data, including the records not yet approved by moderators.
